tukutuku panels

Name: Te Ata
WALT: I know the significance of tukutuku panels and why Maaori made them.

This is my tukutuku panel!! And i’m going to be explaining it!!

Yellow - It represents the light
Blue - It represents tangaroa
Red - represents my whanau blood
Green - represents papatuanuku
Dark green - represents the peace

White - it represents the wairua

Kaitiakitanga

as you can see, this one is mine as you can see at the bottom it has kaitiakitanga!!

Red - represents Tumatauenga
Orange - represents the sunset/Te Ata Poo
Yellow - represents the light/ Te Ao Marama
 Green -  represents Papa-tuu-aa-nuku
Black - represents the darkness/Hine-nui-te-Poo

Light blue - represents the sky/Ranginui
The name is Wairua.

WALT: I have learnt the importance of the mangopare/hammerhead shark

Today Te Puna wairua was doing Mangopare/hammerhead shark!!
We had to explain what the colours meant to us!!

Orange - it represents Lava
Red - it represents Tumatauenga  
White - it represents wairua
Purple - it represents calmness 
Pink - it represents aroha/love
Light blue - it represents tangaroa
Dark blue - it represents the darkness
